Description
Ray Charles’s 1959 recording of “Let the Good Times Roll” is a landmark of soul-jazz and big-band music, featuring an iconic, Grammy-winning arrangement by a then-26-year-old Quincy Jones.
Originally a 1946 jump blues hit by Louis Jordan, this version transformed the song into a “masterful big-band revival” that helped transition Charles from a rhythm and blues artist to a global musical “Genius”.
Also available as 3h version.
