Description

“Slippery When Wet” is a high-energy, horn-driven 1975 funk single by the legendary American band the Commodores. Written by lead guitarist Thomas McClary and co-produced with long-time collaborator James Anthony Carmichael, the track was released on Motown Records as part of the group’s second studio album, Caught in the Act. It holds a major place in the band’s history as their very first number-one hit on the US Billboard Soul Singles chart.
